DAEYC Honors the Early Childhood Profession

with Awards & Scholarship

The Dallas Association for the Education of Young Children (DAEYC) requests your help in honoring professional early childhood educators, past, present, and future. Nominate an excellent leader in early childhood education for an award or scholarship.

DAEYC is now accepting nominations for five awards recognizing leaders in early childhood education from the Dallas metroplex. The five awards are:

Alzenia Hunter Teacher of the Year Award

Administrator of the Year

Advocate of the Year

Pat Kennedy Teacher Educator Award

Trainer of the Year Award

In addition to honoring our past and present leaders, DAEYC also awards two scholarships to rising early childhood professionals; the Joanie Pieper Award pays some of the expense for attending the annual Texas AEYC conference, and Dallas AEYC Scholarship is for students enrolled in colleges in Dallas County. This scholarship can be used for tuition, CDA fees, or required textbooks.

Follow the links at the DAEYC website: www.daeyc.com: Honoring the Profession: Nomination Forms. All nomination materials are due in the DAEYC office by Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Send them by email DallasAEYC@daeyc.com or by postal mail to 3544 E. Emporium Circle, Mesquite Texas 75150.

Contact DallasAEYC@daeyc.com, 972-699-0420 for further information.
