This
position is accountable for on-going growth and management
of Center Operations (Child Care Center), ensuring that
all program standards are met and provides liaison
functions with community agencies. This position includes
the planning, execution and communication of long range
plans and annual service delivery plans for the business
ensuring implementation of Relationship-Centered Child
Care (RC³) practices and school readiness initiatives.
This position oversees the educational services provided
to the children, which includes assessing the processes
and outcomes of the children’s program. This position
plans and implements staff development activities that
address needs based on program and staff assessments. This
position supervises, monitors, and provides support to the
center management staff and content area managers and
performs under very limited direction of VP of Program
Services with considerable demand for independent
judgment.

Bachelor’s
degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
required. Masters Degree Preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years
successful management experience with significant
financial accountability required. Minimum of 3 years
supervisory experience required. Minimum of 3-5 years of
experience with Head Start programs preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of the child growth and development
and or family studies required. Must demonstrate
professional leadership skills. Excellent analytical,
communication, planning, organizing and supervisory skills
are required. Ability to work and communicate effectively
with the public.

Early
Childhood Center Manager - Garland - Texas
The
basic job functions of this position are establishing and
maintaining safety and program standards that meet or
exceed all CCG, NAEYC, Head Start, state licensing and
local requirements; managing activities in the areas of
food services, education, social services, parent
involvement, health, mental health, and special services;
insuring building and ground maintenance and sanitation;
assisting in budget development; collaborating with
community agencies, corporations and groups; participating
on committees; managing center staff.
Facilitates and maintains current documentation and
certificates to ensure compliance with federal, state,
local regulations and CCG program standards and NAEYC
standards; Ensures building repairs and other maintenance
needs are reported and corrected in a timely manner
Bachelor’s
degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
with some courses in business administration and personnel
management required. M.A. in Early Childhood Education or
Child Development preferred. Early Childhood Education
with some courses in business administration and personnel
management. Minimum of four (4) years supervisory
experience in an Early Childhood setting required. Also,
two (2) years work in a social service agency and child
care setting required. Must demonstrate a comprehensive
knowledge of child growth and development, day care
programming, curriculum planning and programming for
individual child needs. Must demonstrate leadership
ability and the ability to function as a team member.
Prompt and regular attendance. Must be able to travel to
events. Must have reliable transportation; valid Texas
driver’s license, proof of liability insurance and
driving record acceptable to CCG’s automobile liability
insurance carrier.
